  • 3 tbsp Dole Tropical Gold pineapple juice (from the tin)
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp honey or agave (optional, to balance the tartness)
  • 1/4 tsp spirulina powder (adjust to achieve your preferred blue hue)
  • Pinch salt

Steps to Sunshine!

  1. Dole·Dog: Lightly toast the buns for added texture.
  2. Place a hot dog in each bun.
  3. Drizzle generously with Blue Pineapple Sauce.
  4. Sprinkle over the pineapple small chunks.
  5. Add any optional toppings, if desired.
  6. Serve immediately and enjoy the reactions!
  7. Blue Pineapple Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the pineapple juice, mayonnaise, and honey/agave (if using).
  8. Add the spirulina powder gradually, mixing thoroughly until you achieve the desired shade of blue (it’s strong, so use sparingly).
  9. Add a pinch of salt to bring the flavours together.
